Ryan Weddington is a dark fantasy author from a small town in Tennessee. A husband of eighteen years, father of two, and third-shift factory worker, he has spent much of his life finding stories in the quiet spaces between ordinary hours. The long nights and steady rhythm of the factory gave him plenty of time to imagine worlds stranger, darker, and far more dangerous than his own.
His love of storytelling began with his grandfather — a fascination that grew into a lifelong obsession with epic worlds, flawed heroes, brutal choices, and the kind of stories that stay with you long after they end. His influences run from Abercrombie and Erikson on the darker end to Sanderson and Jordan on the grander, with a deep respect for the emotional scale that the best epic cinema manages to pull off and prose rarely does.
He is currently writing The Held Sky — a grimdark epic fantasy about war, gods, debt, survival, and the terrible cost of doing the wrong thing for the right reasons. He writes for readers who like their fantasy bloody, funny, tragic, and honest, where victories leave scars, heroes make questionable decisions, and even gods discover they are not as untouchable as they hoped.
